Hotel summary Broadly speaking, Danish hotels have bounced back quicker than anticipated from two years marked by COVID-19. Tourists from neighbour ing countries have returned, hotel bednights have hit a record high and KPIs are starting to look solid. The recovery has taken place although US and Chinese tour ists have yet to return on the scale seen before the pandemic, giving cause for optimism. The strong KPIs have served to further incentivise operators looking to enter the Danish hotel market. In terms of transactions, investors are again ready to strike when favourable opportunities arise. Mainly foreign investors show an appetite for Danish hotel acquisi tions, but hotel investment activity, like activity in other seg ments, has been hit by rising interest rates, driving investors’ yield requirements upwards.
