Attractive development sites becoming scarce Although the market is ripe for speculative building, the big question remains where to build. It can be particularly diffi cult to find available development sites in prime logistics loca tions in the south corridor outside Copenhagen as well as out side Aarhus. For lack of options, both tenants and investors are likely to turn to new locations. On Zealand, Ringsted is a location with good prospects of development activity brisking up soon. Given its central location next to the motorway grid, the town offers businesses relatively short travel times to several major provincial towns and cities, both on Funen and on Zealand, along with an ample supply of well-located building sites. Hedehusene, where DSV is currently building a storage facil ity of some 95,000 sq m, is another location likely to come into play. In addition, several areas in the southern part of Zealand and the islands of Lolland-Falster are expected to be revived as logistics locations when the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link is scheduled for commissioning in 2029.
