Copenhagen is growing – but net migration is record-high We have previously analysed migration patterns in 2022 in the largest cities of Denmark, including Copenhagen and Frederiksberg (located in Copenha gen, but a municipality in its own right). The conclusion was that although population growth here is positive, it is not driven by net movers – quite the opposite. In recent years, more people have been moving out of the city than moving into the city. This trend continued in 2023, reaching a record level of 7,761 net movers.
